and PET CARE FAIR

Please join us in supporting a great community event, our third annual dog jog. Last year this event was a huge success, over 300 people from throughout Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint, Port Huron, and Illinois participated. With your support 2008 can be even more successful in raising funds for the Oakland Pet Adoption Center and the Tail Waggers K-9 4-H Club, encouraging healthy living through exercise, promoting our local businesses, and creating positive visibility for the City of Clawson.

Clawson is located in the center of Birmingham, Royal Oak, and Troy, about one mile west of I-75. Clawson combines small town amenities with convenient access to all of Metro Detroit’s big city events. Clawson City Park, in the heart of southeast Oakland County, will host CLAWS & PAWS 2008 which will combine a 2 Mile Run/Dog Jog/Walk (10 a.m.) with a Pet Care Fair/Animal Adoption (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.) Runners, animal lovers, and kids are all welcome to attend and participate.

The Oakland Pet Adoption Center has operated and maintained an animal shelter, housing stray & relinquished pets as well as adopting since 1980. The Oakland Pet Adoption Center has found homes for tens of thousands “unwanted” canines and felines. The Tail Waggers K-9 4-H Club is a dog training and community service group of young people ages 6 – 21.

The Clawson Chamber of Commerce was established in 1958 as an organization of local businesses dedicated to stimulating economic development and supporting business retention in Clawson
